A Note from Home comes from the Heart
"Stay home," they say. What better way to protect and give thanks for our health, than to be asked to relax at home. This is not an interruption, this is an opportunity. I encourage all of you to cherish your health and enjoy this time by rekindling a new appreciation for yourself and your home. Take the time to do new things around the home that will inspire you. Press pause. Release and refresh.
The next series of "Pop-Inspirations" will be devoted to activities at home that, I believe, inspire us all, re-kindle the spirit and connect us to those we love and our community.
One of the greatest joys for me (to this day) is writing and receiving a handwritten note. When was the last time you wrote to someone? Have you sent a postcard recently? I suggest you reach out to a friend with a note this week. Before the internet, collecting the afternoon mail was the most wonderful surprise. Even today, what an impact a letter has when received! The reciprocity of staying in touch and the intention of sharing each word is a very special act of friendship.
This afternoon, with my nails dirty from gardening, I went to check the mailbox. I received a note from a friend! I opened the letter and a card fell out with a plantable seed papered heart. "Plant the seed and help them grow," the card read. So, I went back to the garden, a smile on my face, and did just that. I can't wait to see what will grow in my garden as a result of this thoughtful gesture from a dear friend.
Thank you, my dear friends, for all of your notes. I love hearing from you!
During this season of uncertainty,
surround yourself with creative inspiration.
My soul, find rest in God, my hope comes from him.
Psalm 62:5 NIV
Keeping all of you in my heart,
