Creating a Renewed Harvest Season of Restoration and Hope

I love music. I often play background music throughout the day. I love to sing and hum softly with some of my favorite songs to lift the atmosphere. One of my new favorite songs has one simple lyric, “I am a child of God.”  It really resonates with me. It’s a reminder that God created all of us with his love and joy.  As I think about His great love for us and as we begin to enter into a new season, what a great time it is for us to let go of the seasons of the past and refresh the soil with heavenly rain from God’s love and rebuild the fields of life to grow abundantly in His love and guidance.

I believe that God desires us to flourish in our own individual styles and, through our creative hearts and talents, to produce a glorious harvest of joyous experiences.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright.” Psalms 92:12-14

I also believe that the way to inspire the creative heart is to renew our souls and turn away from the complaints and discouragements of the world and open up our hearts to hope.  By pruning these old negative weeds out of the way, we welcome in a new season of restoration filled with gifted blessings and love.

The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. Deuteronomy 28:8

Sometimes we may feel discouraged as though we are not growing or that God is not working in our lives, yet at these times, it is a healthy reminder for us to renew our spirits with the loving words of our Heavenly Father to restore our faith to press forward and grow deeper roots that will give us the strength to live in richer faith our journey that is richer in the blessings that God has promised us.

Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved. Psalms 80:3

I was reminded in a study written by author Marilyn Hickey that God puts value on an individual’s inward condition rather than their outward accomplishments.  She continues to share how we should take time to “give thanks” to the Lord and that when all is said and done YOU WIN! True prosperity is to be planted in the house of the Lord.

I invite you to take time to find inspiration in everything around you: family, friends, blue sky or evening stars, a warm gentle breeze or gusting winds. Listen for the sounds that compliment your day: the orchestration of birds singing or percussion from the city streets. Look for the colors that dance across the sky from the sunrise to sunset to share and bask in our Heavenly Father’s masterpieces made just for us.

For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. Psalm 92:4

As Ms. Hickey shared, take time and “give thanks” as you create your own masterpiece of life with God’s love.  Let his words renew your garden of life and restore it with hope beyond your imagination.

I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.Psalms 7:17

I know the Lord has another “Amazing Grace” Day of Love and Glorious Miracles planned for you as you continue to grow your garden of life in the love and word of our Heavenly Father.

…in all your ways submit to him, and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6
