A Fresh Start
I woke up this morning to the pattering of raindrops dancing on the windowsill. I quickly ran to open the door to welcome in the sweet fragrance of early morning rain on this first day of summer. These longer days fill my soul with a sense of freedom and rejuvenation -- each day that is given to me is a fresh start.
I nestled in to my favorite chair with a warm cup of tea and looked out the window. The morning sun began to rise with a magnificent glow, leaving raindrops on the plants and trees throughout the garden. Everything in the garden looked more alive and clean as though it was also given a “fresh start” of life during these longer, warmer days of summer.
I thought about how God’s love is so deeply rooted in our lives. He created us as His beautiful children. He never turns away from us or forsakes us. He is a forgiving Father who wants the best for us. Even when we may stumble in doubt or fall into the ways of the world, if we turn our hearts back to Him, He is there to comfort us with open arms of love and forgiveness. He never hesitates to gives us “a fresh start” in order to live a life filled with joyous blessings.
God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I cleaned up my act, he gave me a fresh start. Indeed, I’ve kept alert to God’s ways; I haven’t taken God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works, I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

Like the garden, I believe we, too, go through various seasons of life that need to be cleansed and renewed with God’s Love. With trust in Him, he will guide us on a new path to a “fresh start” – a new season filled with joy.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

May this be your season to be revived and filled with God’s love. Open your heart to a Fresh Start with God.
“Revive us again, O God! I know you will! Give us a fresh start! Then all your people will taste your joy and gladness.”

I encourage you to Step out in your “Fresh Start” season and walk with God. Walk with Him and see where he guides you.
Try new things that have been on your heart.
Walk in the park.
Enjoy a sunny day at the beach.
Picnic and barbeque with family and friends.
Plant some new flowers.
Create, Draw, Paint and Write.
“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. “
