Autumn is a Harvest of God’s Abundant Love
As I welcome in the cool morning breeze of the autumn season, a peace in my heart has been refreshed in knowing the everlasting abundance of God’s love that is here right now for us to enjoy.
The other day, as I was preparing the garden with extra watering and care following extreme heat and heavy winds, I was so thankful to God that our garden fared well through this historic heat wave. I watched as the trees and plants were shoved around by the powerful winds. I was in awe as their branches tossed from one side to another while remaining deeply rooted in the ground.
When the wind quieted down for the day, I went out to survey the land. To my surprise, we did not lose any plants or trees. In a short amount of time, they had all repositioned themselves to standing straight, as though reaching up to the Heavens in praise.
I was reminded of a recent parable about sowing seeds of God’s word in our lives and how, when we plant seeds of God’s word, the love and kindness grows deep roots that withstand the ever-changing “weather” of our daily lives, growing a fruitful harvest of joyous blessings.
Let’s keep growing the deepest of roots in our heart gardens of God’s word and share love throughout all seasons of our lives. Let’s be evergreens flourishing in God’s love.
