As We Walk Every Day in Faith,
Be Immersed in the Love from Our Heavenly Father,
Meditate on the Word to Fill Our Souls with Peace.

Walk in His Light that Shines Our Way to a
Freedom Filled Life with Miraculous Blessings,
Bestowed Upon Us from Heaven Above,
To Create a New Season of Joy.

One of my favorite times in the garden is during the early winter months.  When the soft sunlight washes over the garden in a sheltering blanket, it is a true realm of peace for me.

During this time of year, I need to bundle up in extra layers before I start my list of outdoor chores. I put on my winter garden shoes, gloves and hat then grab my cutting shears, rake and large basket.

I begin my journey at the rose beds and quietly prune them back to an early state of  growth.  As I gently prune each branch, I find myself quietly saying, “Enjoy the rest. It has been a full year of things to endure, but it’s okay, it is time to rest and prepare for the birth of a new season ahead.” As I quietly work from one rose bush to the next, the comforting words repeat as a whisper, “it’s time for them to rest.”  Like the roses, I find myself, in the quiet stillness of the cool winter day, thinking that it is also time for me to prune away some of the old branches that are hindering my own growth.

After a few hours with the rose bushes, I begin to work in another section of the garden. The sunlight begins to dim as it welcomes in a cooler breeze. At the sight of soft rain clouds dancing across the sky, I know it is time to call it a day.  I brush off my clothes and, as I take the last basket full of fresh cuttings to the recycle area, I breathe in. Deeply.  That wonderful, deep breathe quietly whispers in my heart, “yes, it is time for all of us to rest now.”

Enjoy this season of quiet peace to reflect inward. Trim and prune some of heavier thoughts away. Fill your soul and spirit with words and love from our heavenly Father — those words replenish our roots with a stronger faith in knowing that a fresh season lies ahead.

Prepare your garden of life

Are there branches that need pruning?
Are there branches that may be holding back your faith from growing
and holding you back from living your dreams?

Trim  away some of the old branches of doubt, fully scheduled days and outside noise. To prepare for a fresh start, embrace a time of rest and refill your soul with God’s word.

Your new limbs, deeply rooted in the word, will grow strong in love. Stretch your faith and be filled with endless hope for a life richly filled with joyous blessings.

Like a garden, we all need a little pruning through the seasons to let go of the old and make way for new growth in our lives.  Winter marks the close of a year but also the hope a of new season. I find that winter is the perfect season to prune one’s soul. The rest refills our soul and welcomes in new hope.

He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. Psalms 1:3

Welcome in this new season with a fresh garden that’s ready to blossom with a season of glorious dreams! Be Grated into our Heavenly Father’s love and Be Free!

He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.  John 15:2 TPT

“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you— John 15:5 TPT

What surprises we find after a season of rest. Like the burst of of a camellia in bloom, these discoveries are treasured gifts of beauty from Heaven Above.

Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!  Romans 15:13 (TPT)
