Take in the Surprises of Summer

To prepare for the longer (and warmer) days of summer, I read through some of my garden journal notes from previous years for some insightful reminders. This, written in bold red, was all I needed to see!:  

Make sure to give your garden a lot of love and extra encouragement and it will grow for another joyous season.  

A garden is a wonderful reminder to share the gift of love and encouragement with one another; to rejuvenate the soul for another season of joy.  Encourage one another in God’s love to refill one’s soul with joy and harmony.

These are some fun ways to share the gift of love and encouragement:

Picnic with friends or family

Get together for an afternoon of conversation

Have a walk-and-talk with close ones

Enjoy the sunset

Stop to smell the roses

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
